According to, Christopher Gerrard, Pam Graves, Andrew Millard, Richard Annis, and Anwen Caffell, Lost Lives, New Voices: Unlocking the Stories of the Scottish Soldiers at the Battle of Dunbar 1650, (England: Oxbow Books, 2018),² on page 254, Alexander is categorized as: Possible [that he is a Dunbar prisoner transported on the Unity] Stewart, Alexander. Residences: Charlestown MA. Appears: 1662. D.1686. An Austin Stewart is listed on the John & Sara but it is not clear if this is the same man. First Generation in the New World

1. ALEXANDER¹ STEWART, tailor, was born in Scotland and died at Marlborough, Massachusetts on 06 Apr 1731.⁷ He married, first, at Charlestown, Massachusetts on 12 Oct 1662, HANNAH TEMPLAR, she died at Charlestown, 21 Aug 1674.⁸⁹¹⁰ He married, second, at Cambridge on 03 May 1677, REBECCA (_____). He married, third, at Sudbury, Massachusetts on 23 May 1688, DEBORAH (REDIAT) FORBUSH/FARROWBUSH/FORBES, the widow of Daniel Forbes, by whom she had several children. Daniel Forbes died in Oct 1687.¹¹¹² Deborah died at Marlborough on 23 Apr 1721.¹³ He possibly married, fourth, at Marlborough on 07 Feb 1721/2, (_____) WHEELER.¹⁴

Biographical Notes:
I believe that Alexander of Charlestown is also the Alexander of Marlborough, they are the same person.¹¹ It appears that this is the same Alexander who was a witness at the inquest (see below) on 29 Apr 1672 of the drowning death of John Benett?¹⁵

He was still here and teaching in 1758. You can also find info in Temple’s History of North Brookfield, page 201, https://books.google.com/books/reader?id=rHmAAAAAIAAJ&printsec=frontcover&output=reader&pg=GBS.PA201 Search for Stuart and Stewart in the Temple book.
