1. ROBERT¹ GUTHRIE, was born, presumably in Scotland and died at sea (sunken ship) on returning to Block Island, Rhode Island on 03 Dec 1692. He married, first, at Braintree, Massachusetts, 25 Dec 1655, MARGARET IRELAND, she was born 1623 and she died at Block Island on 05 Apr 1687, aged 64, name on gravestone (Margaret Gutry). He married, second, at New Shoreham, RI, on 05 Jun 1689, ANN (ALCOCK) WILLIAMS, the widow of John Williams.
